Electrician schools in Nebraska offer apprenticeship training programs to students who are interested in a working as a licensed electrician. Most apprenticeships utilize several organizations to run a program include local community colleges, trade schools, electrical training centers, electrical unions and local chapters of electrical contractor associations. The average program takes four years to complete. Upon completion, graduates will have spent an average of 600 hours in the classroom and 8,000 hours on-the-job.
