Guidance and Advising

The guidance counselors and advisors at the Institute for Business and Technology make every effort to keep up close communication with students. Pupils can consult with teachers and administrators for advice on jobs and coursework.

Students who have personal difficulties that necessitate professional counseling will receive referrals to the proper agencies.

Training at IBT can work around just about any existing schedule. Students can receive assistance finding part-time or full-time employment to assist them in meeting their living expenses while in school, through the Placement department. These careers are not usually in the field for which the individual is being trained. Positions are typically related to food service, custodial work, merchandising and general labor.

Electrician with DAS Certification!

Graduates successfully coming out of the Electrician program are expected to be prepared for placement in a wide range of entry level positions as electricians.

Students will acquire a wide-ranging fundamental knowledge about electrical code, wiring installation, conduit building, motors and transformers system, and manual and electric industrial controls.

Graduates will fill the roles of residential, industrial maintenance, as well as new construction work in their new electrical positions.
